Dr. Kimisha Simpson, Ed.d., Founder & chief executive officer
Dr. Kimisha Simpson has over 12 years of experience in the field of education. Dr. Simpson graduated with her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Temple University and her Master's and Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from Saint Joseph's University. Dr. Simpson's experience as a classroom teacher, school principal, and school district administrator contributed to her passion for impacting educational systems.
As an educator Dr. Simpson's philosophy is to ensure children are provided with educational opportunities that equip them with skills required to become global leaders. She quickly realized her mission is to utilize her expertise to further develop communities that mean the most to her. Dr. Simpson was born to Jamaican parents from the parish of Manchester. From an early age she knew she wanted to return to the island and improve the lives of those connected to her family's heritage and culture.
Ignite Jamaica Fund allows Dr. Simpson to utilize her professional skill sets while achieving her dream of contributing to the prosperity of Jamaica, an island she loves. She believes equitable educational opportunities are the key to our children and youth unlocking their fullest potential. Through Ignite Jamaica Fund Dr. Simpson is taking steps towards building the educational literacy and economic prosperity of high need communities.

Andrea Simpson has over 17 years of experience servicing children in the social service sector. Andrea has her Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology. She currently serves as a school administrator and aims to help students improve their social, emotional, and behavioral skills.
Pauline Simpson has a profound passion for helping people. As a child growing up in Manchester Parish, Jamaica Pauline did not have the tools she needed to learn. Now she helps to give children opportunities she did not have.
This organization is rooted in the beliefs and ideals instilled in our founder by her mother, Pauline. This fund aims to continue Pauline's legacy.
